I am sure that I can’t make it by this year end, but I am happy that I am at my own pace and wearing sarees often. 🙂
This is a Pochampally Patola saree which I wore for a recent marriage in our family.
Since my childhood, I loved sarees. My mother used to wear cotton sarees and still I remember the softness and warmth that her sarees gave me. One of her simple cotton saree which I loved and longed was with ikkat weave of bird and elephant in green and red. For a long time I was looking for one such simple cotton saree to buy, but to my surprise I could not find the same in cotton and also in less price. I strongly feel that our rich heritage is slowly dying.. Thanks for this pact, atleast through these efforts an awareness is created.
I could find the same in silk sarees and so I bought one and here I go.. 🙂
