Last night got yet another chance to drape a saree! It was at the Indian Ladies Association’s (ILA) Annual Day Program and more importantly was a special night for me. It was farewell time to our Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr. Mohan Kumar and his wife Mrs. Mala Kumar who is our Association’s patron.
Mrs. Kumar seen here with an orange Kanjeevaram , is a very talented, suave, dynamic and more importantly a very friendly lady. I have wonderful memories associated with her. During my tenure as the Hon. President of ILA in the year 2011, it was of at most pleasure and privilege to be guided by her.
Will surely miss her beautiful and vivacious presence is an understatement.
Here’s wishing His Excellency Dr. Mohan Kumar and our dearest patron Mrs. Mala Kumar very best wishes in all their future endeavors and the best of everything they strive for! His Excellency inaugurating my 2nd Tanjore painting exhibiton at the Albareh Café in 2011 is etched in our hearts till eternity. My husband and I very fondly remember your precious time given to us.
Mrs Kumar, your excellent taste for the best of sarees you have draped all these years were adored by many, I can vouch for it, including the one draped last night. It’s an honour and prestige to add a picture with you in my quest to wear 100 sarees this year. Thank you for being such a beautiful person inside out!
Coming back to my pink crepe saree, this is a new one which I bought for my birthday but wore it last night…. Hahahha….. Because more than the saree I wanted to wear this blouse which I so painstakingly designed and got it done according to my specifications! This saree will remain extra special because of the occasion which I was a part of last night!
