When I thought of writing a saree story keeping World Music Day in mind, was not sure why this is THE DAY. Yes I was ignorant \ud83d\ude41
\nAt times,these short notes connecting saree, is not only jerking my imagination power but also adding knowledge, I must admit!
\nSince school-days, I have always known 21 June as the Summer Solstice. With my surprise I came to realise there lies the connection of World Music day too.<\/p>\n
The concept of an all-day musical celebration on the days of the solstice was originated by American musician Joel Cohen, who spent two seasons as a producer of musical radio programs for the French National Radio (France Musique.) The idea later was adapted as a national celebration each June 21 in France and made official by the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. The festival later became celebrated in 120 countries around the world.
\nOfficially it was termed The F\u00eate de la Musique( meaning Make Music Day) eventually World Music Day is an annual music celebration taking place on June 21, the first day of summer in cities around the world.<\/p>\n
