\nWhen Travelling by Mumbai local trains one day…saw a senior,stern lady wear a beautiful dress made out of some jute\/linen kinda fabric….Mustered up courage and asked her very sheepishly where she had procured it frm…She gave me a detailed account of where the store was…..After the advent of pay checks…finally bought my first 2 handwoven chettinad cotton sarees from ‘Purvi’s’….This Tirangaa I’ve worn so many times to Spic-Mcay groups…Shabana Azmis talks on slum redevelopment….Indian Institute of Architects sessions….and all of the glorious past happenings…!
\n.Asked my sister to lend it back to me for a day(as had passed it on to her)…just to make it feel like old times!
\nWas dropping my 11yr old to her dance class before going to Deepa’sEvening Chai over Thalipeeth invite….This pic wudnt have been possible if Shreya hadnt offered to stop by and take a pic….I dont know her..but she said very reassuringly…”A sareepact pic rite?I’ll take one for you”…Wow!thats cool and thx Shreya…!
\nPriya’s non Saree pact-friends also wore Sarees just cos she told them to…Now Thats something!
