This dark between cotton handloom with its reason is that this brown cotton handloom with its mustard and orange border and colour-blocked, orange, fuchsia and green palla served to be the right saree to tackle the day head-on. This saree, though not really very unusual, is one of my favourites. First, because this is my first buy from Byloom – a store that in the four odd years of its existence, has already become a must-visit for anyone coming to Kolkata. Second, the dabu-print cotton blouse in shades of mustard and orange, also from Byloom is my first-ever, and till date, only readymade blouse. I was running too late to give this saree the accessory love it deserves. I put on my default pair of tribal, silver earrings and first four mismatched silver bangles almost on autopilot.<\/p>\n
Quite a good choice though, considering that I seem to be having trouble keeping track of whether I am coming or going. Don’t the photographs – taken by my young friend and colleague – capture my ‘ eyes-wide-shut’ frame of mind perfectly?
