In our times…Going Out For Dinner on A weekend was just not the Norm.
\nPssst….I Tasted my first Pizza in my early 20’s.
\nPiping Hot Simple Satwick (cos it would be made max 2hrs prior to being eaten) wholesome food always seemed such a delicacy cos it was eaten with everybody at precisely the same time everyday.
\nOn special occassions I remember 12 or more cousins sitting around in a circle with one Aunt in the centre making round balls and offering Kai-Tuttu to each(food morsels in hand -in kannada)….ensuring zero spillage and you just had to wash your hands in the aftermath not plates…!<\/p>\n
Today was an evening with family at Chilli’s in a relatively old block printed masheshwari Saree…much to the embarrassment of kiddos( maybe) who said, “now where are you going”?but soon scampered into the car after the look!
\nSupper wasnt gr8..!The A.C had konked off- something we realised after placing the order….the pizza had to be returned!
\nFrom next week only ‘Kai-Tuttu’!
\nWhat saved the night was All of us singing a song from the ‘Imagine Dragon’ album(current favorite of kiddos) loudly on the drive towards Natural Ice Cream parlor!
\nCant imagine Im grooving to that number…sigh!
