Dhakai Jamdanis have been my favourite from time since I can remember I learnt to love sarees. Eversince then I could never get over them. Every year religiously I would add one to my wardrobe from my family store ” Chaya Stores”. I longed for a black one since long & in the year 2010 summer I shifted from Chennai to Hyderabad hence my Kolkata summer visit was cancelled. A black Dhakai was out of my mind amongst all confusion of relocation. One day baba called saying sending a surprise birthday gift.<\/p>\n
The parcel finally arrived and to my surprise enveloped in loads of love I had this beautiful dhakai. A black base one with rust cum green golden motifs all over. I wore it yesterday for the third time as I went to watch “Piku ” for the second time with family and friends. Will treassure this addition & the love that I got via this gift all my life.<\/p>\n
