Sorba. My negotiator. My mirror. My sanity when I’m mad. My madness when I’m sane.<\/p>\n
This story is my 24th post. But it is my 25th saree on the pact. I am yet to get the photographs of number 24. What difference does it make, do I hear you think, if 25 is posted as 24 or vice versa? Well, 25 is a special number and I wanted my post to be special as well. And for me, it doesn’t get more special than Sorba.<\/p>\n
Sprba is unique. A hundred stories would not be enough to describe her unique “‘Sorba-ness’. And one of these is how matter -of-factly she has always worn sarees. As comfortable as I have always been in sarees, wearing a saree has still entailed at least five more minutes of planning time etc etc. But not for this girl. Fitting isn’t it, that my quarter century in the pact is with her?<\/p>\n
Both of us are wearing black georgette sarees – hers has a soft turquoise brocade border and blouse. Mine is a hand-painted batik in baby pink and powder blue.<\/p>\n
Sorba is going to make multiple appearances on my posts. As will this particular saree.<\/p>\n
