This saree was a Durga Puja gift from last year with a very quirky story behind it! I had a blue silk blouse that I wanted to pair with one of my Mom’s old gorgeous cream and blue south silk saree, but sadly the zari work on the saree began giving way. So off we went to the state cottage emporiums and searched high and low for a cream and blue saree, mostly in vain. Then finally the blue and maroon edge with the zari caught our attention and viola we had a perfect match.<\/p>\n
