The saree is special…bought it with my first salary. It is a pretty soft cotton saree in one of my favorite combinations: Black and white. As I joined the 100saree pact, I was looking to drape a saree to wear to head office for meetings and found this gem. The rationale is a humble attempt to bring the sarees back into my workplace (other than formal meetings).<\/p>\n
I wore it with maroon mirror work (hand embroidered) blouse with a low back that showed off my owl tattoo. The contrast was stark yet striking. For the first time, I received compliments from senior colleagues.<\/p>\n
Special memory attached: My mom hates the saree as she felt my taste is warped. Till date, mom and daughter war continues over the saree:))<\/p>\n
