Not all photographs come out well. And, not all sarees are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Some sarees, like days, are nondescript, while some are downright ugly. But, when you have great friends, everything, somehow, seems all right.<\/p>\n
Which is why for a dinner date with fabulous female friends and one handsome young man, I chose to wear a saree that is not the most flattering on me. A pretty, peppermint crepe with delicate french knot embroidery in shades of cream and brown, this sari was one of the first efforts by my tailor to ‘create’ saris, not just make blouses and was bought to appreciate his budding enterprise.<\/p>\n
It was the perfect saree for the occasion because in this circle of charm, everything becomes magical… And if you don’t believe me, just look at our group photo.
