7\/100. This is a Kantha stitch saree with a rather unique combination of color and design…a gift from my uncle in 2004 when I moved to bangalore after marriage. Seen in this collage are two occasions when I have worn this saree. On the left is Diwali of 2004 where I am sitting next to my only paternal aunt – who was very very close to me. She never got married and loved like her own child. She passed away in 2012 and it’s her birthday today. On the right is the pic with my son taken recently, before we left for the annual music festival of his school – where he performed for the first time – as a part of the Hindustani classical music ensemble.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
