Of all the hats I wear, the most challenging job is being my daughter’s mother! She is stubborn and opinionated. A fire brand and a born negotiator! All great skills for an adult but definitely wear you down especially after a busy day at work. I am determined to give her plenty of space to blossom yet instill values of humility, hard work and discipline.
\nWe had an especially lousy day on Monday. It physically hurt to see her that upset! To feel better, we decided to dress up that evening. I wore my ‘bandhani’ saree ( Bandhani, a highly skilled art of dyeing, means ‘to tie’: these must be knots of love to look as gorgeous as they do). Dressing up and a few wet kisses from our Labrador worked like a charm.
