Rain and a saree – quite an improbable combination. Here I was, draped in an Ikat, trudging through the rain-soaked grounds of Jayamahal Palace Hotel to wish a newly wedded couple. The beautifully crafted outdoors stage and reception area were aglow with the reflected light of a million raindrops, while the guests showered blessings on the couple in an indoor venue. Oh, how I love the Bangalore rains, even if it means changing plans, hitching my Saree up and ensuring the pallu doesn’t turn brown!<\/p>\n
The Saree pic was taken by a sleepy child after my drenching and drying, while I took my selfie while waiting endlessly at a signal.
