Today is DAY 13 of

\nso much dear Anju Maudgal Kadam, Ally Matthan, and Sudha Sekhar, for including
\nus on this wonderful journey!<\/p>\n
Today, I’m wearing
\nMajenta (Rani Colour as some like to call it) and Maroon! These colours always
\nbring back fond memories of my late Father in law ( whom I would address as
\n“Papaji”). He loved seeing me in these rich colours and we shared a
\nbeautiful bond of affection, especially since my husband is an only child!<\/p>\n
As a young bride,
\n30 years ago, he would walk me down to the Bus -Stand every morning and see me
\nsafely on the School Bus! He counselled me about financial prudence and life in
\ngeneral and insisted that I take my lunch box to School and not try to diet!<\/p>\n
When he had his
\nfirst heart attack I took him to the hospital, took leave from School, left my
\ntwo kids aged 7 and 3years old with my Mum in law, and in the days that
\nfollowed, spent the whole day at the Hospital caring for him. I only went home
\nin the evening to be with my kids, when my Mum in law took over!<\/p>\n
When he was ready
\nto go home, people at the hospital enquired:” Is she your daughter or your
\ndaughter in law?<\/p>\n
“You can
\nconsider her as either,” replied my Father in law,”But since you
\nasked, she is really our daughter in law and dearer than a daughter to
\nus!”<\/p>\n
That was the BEST
\nCOMPLIMENT I ever got in my entire life!<\/p>\n
I love you Papaji
