When my dad turned 60 several years ago, I got my parents ‘married’ again as per tradition. It was a very small, family only celebration at a temple in Bangalore. For the occasion, I bought my mother two sarees, one a Rajasthani red and yellow Gharchola, and the other this Balucheri in a soft red which I fell in love with.<\/p>\n
I often borrow it because I love the weave of the Balucheri palla and border. This was borrowed for a special Bengali meal hosted by a friend a couple of years ago. I teamed it with a cream coloured crochet blouse I bought on sale years ago on my first visit to Ensemble.<\/p>\n
