I knew that 100 might not be possible in my case but ek to banta hein! So here is my contribution&#8230;<br \/>\nMarch 8 is celebrated as International Women&#8217;s Day and what better way to grace a &#8220;Your&#8217;s Truly&#8221; event than to express oneself in traditional attire that makes every woman look magical. I pulled out a Chikankari (Lucknowi) saree &#8211; this one has a special story attached to it. About 7 years ago, during one of our India trips, my husband Sonu bought this saree for me. I had fallen in love with this piece, the minute I laid my eyes on it but the sticker shock and fear of &#8220;mom&#8221; (how am I going to justify the price)held me from buying it. Hubby decided to splurge and charged it to his credit card (don&#8217;t I love plastic)&#8230;.this way mom would not know. This was his very first saree shopping experience which dug deep holes in his pocket&#8230;.but made wifey very very very happy. And surprisingly even mom thought it was a &#8220;great buy&#8221;. I did not have the nerve to hide it from mom.
