And that too in a Saree!!\u2028Well, who would have thought I would walk the ramp for a fashion show, having always been the nerdy kind of girl I was in my school and college days? Fashion shows were meant for the glamour girls. And so I surprised the entire alumni clan of our college, including hubby darling, when I walked the ramp at our annual alumni event clad in a Kanjeevaram! And that too at an age when women are well on their way to becoming mommies-in-law and grandmoms. Cheered by the alumni crowd I sashayed right to the front of the stage, imagining myself to be a tall and graceful catwalk model stealing the limelight\u2026..and struck two different poses with my head held high, as the music played on\u2026..it was a fun moment and an unforgettable one for sure. My two minutes of fame!\u2028The saree I chose to wear was a green and yellow silk that my mom got as a gift from her nephew. I love to borrow her sarees for occasions because she has this magical ability of keeping all her sarees ironed and ready to wear at all times\u2026.and that\u2019s a trait I haven\u2019t inherited!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
