Few years back, I delivered a talk @ NASA annual symposium. The topic was \u201cSpirituality and Management \u201d. Talk went fine and was interactive with lots of questions . But there was one Gentleman sitting at the back waiting for the crowd to clear. At the end he approached me,<\/p>\n
Gentleman: \u201cMam, I have to confess to you\u201d<\/p>\n
I was surprised. Made me wonder, what has this very tall handsome man, who is totally a stranger got to confess to me?<\/p>\n
Gentleman: \u201cI came to your talk, because I was attracted by the Indian dress that you are wearing.I just wanted to see. But, the topic was so powerful, I got engrossed in the talk and forgot the purpose I came for! And I learnt something new that helps me for life. My apologies, I take a bow”. I smiled as he bowed. Spirituality shines so bright!<\/p>\n
This is the saree that I was wearing.
\nThe dress code told to me by NASA was Business suit, but I felt I must dress in my national costume to represent my country and my culture to deliver on a topic so close to my heart. Yes, I did write to them ahead of my talk about it.<\/p>\n
