One of the reasons I was skeptical to join the\u00a0#100sareepact<\/span>\u00a0was the number! To this day, I haven’t ever counted my sarees and I was like”100<\/span>??? Woah! NO way I’ll get there”. Took me sometime to take the plunge because of this apprehension. So here I am, 10\/100<\/span>, without the faintest idea of how many sarees I have\u00a0Am here to have a good time and boy, am I enjoying this or what?<\/p>\n

Until I bought this, I had exactly one of what is called “fancy sarees” – the all encompassing term that can mean just about anything in 5 yards\u00a0. Decided to check out Jashn (where I’d purchased the only other “fancy saree” and I’d loved their collection) around Valentine’s Day – too cheesy? It was just a coincidence people and voila! They had a 50% sale going on! I had a gleam in my eye. Maybe – just maybe, I might actually love something at the first instance an buy it.<\/span><\/p>\n

So there I was – looking at all the “fancy saree” racks, with as much patience as I had. After the birth of my twins, doing everything – like everything, including eating and taking a shower is a rushed affair. When they were infants, like all new moms I was super overwhelmed! We had this neighbour in the US (where you don’t have any domestic help) who had triplets – how on earth would you nurse 3 babies with 2….you know…! I’d look at her & I felt like my challenges were a cake walk. 2 hands and 2 babies is totally doable!<\/p>\n

At Jashn, I had almost given up because I didn’t like anything that I fell in love with. There was the “nice – but will I pay an arm and a leg to buy it? Of course not!” – and “Really??? People wear colours like this” sarees\u00a0\u00a0I had mentally checked out and walked the last time to the expensive rack – the one that I’d written off. Then I saw this, lying stacked at the way bottom of the pile of sarees. The salesman opened it out and I fell in love with it immediately.<\/p>\n

So here it is – my second “fancy saree” – A net saree in one of my favourite colours with gold. The blouse is ready made and was SO huge for me! Hadn’t yet got the blouse stitched and had a reception to attend. Desperation beckoned<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
