Dasara 5th day theme is white, the colour for peace. I have a lot of white, off white sarees and this fascination towards white saree is due my amma’s love towards white sarees. She usually wore white saree every Saturday to school. As i learn about varieties of sarees now, i can connect and remember amma had most of them in her collection. She had bengal cottons, donekalis, kanchi cottons from cooptex, printed silks from Priyadarshini,… and the list goes on. Most of ammas printed silk were white based with colourful prints.
