Well…here I am. Back from hibernation. First, a big big hug to all my family n friends who’ve been patient n supportive through this crazy chaos?
\nI had taken up quite the Herculean task with the ‘Utsavam’ collection from Tejas sarees. And as expected, ran into quite a few hurdles. The outcome? Well…it’s on hold for now. But it’ll soon be back on it feet because that’s a promise I made to myself–never to give up on my weavers & artisans, come sun or tsunami.
\nAnd jus like the saying–when one door closes, another opens–right!. Three opened & I chose the best.
\nLol. Enough with the riddles. So I’ve taken a new job n shifted houses. I’m officially a South Bangalorean. Things are still settling down but I’m determined to get bk to my much loved n much missed sareepact.
\nThis one is a birthday surprise. A vintage saree that’s been in the family for two generations. A pure silver Banaras saree that’s so delicate n intricate! A feast for the senses. And the checkered surprise?? Well. That’s the bestest! Really. The most aptly themed cake that cheered me up. Family overwhelmed me by replicating the design from my organic summer Rasipuram Tejas saree. They’ve even got the details right–a priceless price tag n tassels!
