Early last year, Shivani moved to Abu Dhabi to take on an interesting assignment with a company started by an Indian.
\nShe continued to wear her sarees there also until she began to receive subtle, and not so subtle, hints about dressing for the global image of the company. She wore her business suits then.
\nMore incidents and discussions on different issues began to indicate, quite strongly, that this move was not what she wanted for herself and her family.
\nSo she came back and now has a fulfilling career teaching communication at a university and managing communication for the institution.
\n” It was that not wearing a saree and having to wear western suits, ( which I am equally comfortable in ), that was the first sign that something was wrong.
