\nMy fascination for chikan sarees goes back to 1998-90 when my aunt used to live in Lucknow..she used to have this wonderful collection of chikan sarees or gift them to my mom..d butiful pastel shades, d intricate threadworks, d shadowy effects of d chikan motifs..all these would leave me mesmerized..way back then i was too young to wear sarees n so didnt feature in d list of people who would get chikan sarees as gifts..but my craving for a chikan saree continued..<\/p>\n
Till a few years back..when my two friends Sudeshna Chakravorty n Averi Saha\u200b were going to Lucknow for a national conference..my old yearning came to d fore n i asked them to bring a chikan saree for me..they had asked me for colour preferences but i refused to limit their minds to any one colour as such..i trusted their aesthetic sense..a few days later this pretty saree was in my hands..
\nMy all time favourite colour pink..d butiful white chikan work..d soft cotton fabric..how could i not fall in luv wid it!!
