Back from Bali, thankfully well in time for Diwali, just escaped getting trapped due to the volcano!! Was really worried – this is a great time of the year and I didn’t want to miss any part of it!! The house cleaning ritual was done; now the Diwali special sweets and namkeen aka ‘faral’. Lots of rangoli around the house along with flowers and lights!! In a build up to the Festival of Lights, some of us friends got together and painted diyas. The saree for the day was a dark pink supernet saree with sequins and embroidery work which I bought a few years ago. The other saree, I wore a few days ago for a formal felicitation function.
