\nHappy to complete the 75th milestone with this special saree which is very close to my heart, as this is the first one amongst a few others that I wore as a bride (on my wedding day)25 years back. It is nostalgic to think of the Day we went shopping, getting the blouse stitched to trying it out before the D day etc…etc… My appa got so emotional the day we were back from shopping that I saw him wipe his tears and without knowing the reason I too got teary eyed! Later I over heard him telling Amma that he got emotional thinking that his daughter would leave the house once she is married. He was so attached to his daughters…yes, all fathers are! This is our first Diwali since he left us for the heavenly abode. <\/p>\n
I wore this saree 5 years back on a Diwali day. Since then it was lying untouched.
