The series of raksha bandhan celebrations culminated in a special way – tying the rakhee to my brother. Being the elder amongst the two of us, I made the most of every opportunity to act like the elder sister and harass him ;)) it was a great evening with Rashmi Laddha Mandhana and Shrinivas Mandhana followed by dinner with my brother, my vahini and my parents. A large part of the cooking was taken care of by Amma with her special ‘narali Bhat’ ie coconut rice being the high point!! And no points to guess what the rakhee gift to me was- of course a saree!! Sarees this evening were – a red Mysore silk with a heavy blouse and a another sea green Mysore crepe with a golden tissue blouse.
