\nDay 12\/100 – Today is the day of the Mystery Saree smile emoticon. My mom used to wear crepes, printed silk, silk, chiffons…I dont remember her wearing cottons ever…maybe because sarees were for parties etc only. So dont know when and how this lovely red and blue ikat saree landed up in my cupboard! <\/p>\n
I absolutely love cottons and as part of this pact I have got to see Ramya Venkatachalam Kashalkar, Ally Matthan and Anju wear some of the most beautiful cottons. <\/p>\n
Ajrak is one of the most lovely fabrics and when the pact started I knew I wanted an ajrak blouse…one of those versatile ones which I could wear with several sarees.
\n And yes, this is the blouse the masterji took forever to make. I didnt take it to Gauri Syal even though I am a big fan of her work thinking she is so busy and usually gives a date of 10 to 12 days and I dont like to tell her to cut the queue and make my outfit first. The masterji took longer than that so now I know better. <\/p>\n
