This saree is from college days and if I remember correctly one of my friends also had similar saree in bottle green color. Kanchi silk single weave with painted floral. This style came in as wave in mid 80’s for those of you who remember. The silk is so soft and supple, it almost feels like I am in clouds draping this saree. Peacock blue color is so vibrant. Hand painted silk sarees were somewhat mass produced for a brief period of time. It is actually painted and shows the artistic talent of the painter.
