The concept of wearing specific colours on specific days is new to me and credit goes to the pact for this enlightenment.<br \/>\nI have also been sceptical of buying and having yellows in my wardrobe. Always remember during college days I would take out a yellow dress and promptly change into something else. It is only now that I have warmed up to the shade. Yellow is so vibrant and full of life. The colour of the autumn leaves&#8230;the colour of the rising sun&#8230;the colour of hope&#8230;the colour of freshness. ..the colour of warmth.<br \/>\nSo for a dinner yesterday &#8230;I consciously picked up this yellow and black printed pure silk which is light weight and falls like a dream. The yellow of the borders and pallu is bright. I read somewhere that yellow in combination with black creates one of the easiest colours to read and see from long distances . Makes me feel like a cab or a traffic signal right now!<br \/>\nIn Egypt yellow was worn to signify the dead. In Japan yellow stands for courage. In some cultures yellow represents peace. Yellow ribbons were worn as a sign of hope as women waited for their men to come home from war in some countries.<br \/>\nAn eye infection notwithstanding I didn&#8217;t miss this opportunity to drape myself in this sunshine yellow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>66\/100 It was raining sunshine (what a phrase) sarees on my timeline yesterday.
