#16 & #17 Are blast from the past. This hand painted madhubani inspired silk saree is my all time favorite. Two these sarees were painted some 18yrs back, this one is my sister’s, another one that is mine is residing in my mother’s wardrobe. Wore this saree at two different occassions, Christmas Party at work, the first pic in Dec 2013 and then in August 2014 at a friend’s wedding the last two pics. Wearing this saree gives a feeling of being connected to the great and vibrant past of madhubani painting. Someday this will inspire me to self make a madhubani saree!
