I could not have joined this pact at a more perfect time of the year. The occasion is Ganesh Chaturti. For the next 10 days I will try and wear a different saree each day, in celebration of Ganesha. It is the perfect opportunity for my commitment to this pact to gain momentum!<\/p>\n
And if I needed another excuse, I was invited to lunch with an incredible lady, all of 80 plus years, an avid photographer and lover of Africa and wildlife. A very special friend … Barbara Hibben.<\/p>\n
An off-white silk-cotton Kota with a muted zari border from FabIndia, this saree is a gift from my parents. Having worn it all day, I am convinced that its going to be one of my oft-worn garments! It is lightweight, does not crush and feels wonderful. The necklace is once again African – from the local Maasai Market. The pendant is a seed! The wrap around bracelet is all the rage now!<\/p>\n
