While I cannot lay claim to any siblings, I do have numerous cousins and friends who have more than filled in. This post is particularly for Srini Madani.

This beautiful sea green Bengal cotton with a most unusually patterned gold border was a gift from him when he took up his first job in that land of beautiful cottons – Calcutta. The saree is one of my most prized possession, that I have refused to even lend to anyone! Thank-you, Coz.

The variety of colours and designs woven in this genre of sarees is balanced by their pure elegance and comfort.

I have chosen to team this saree with jewellery made from tiny, fragile glass beads traditionally woven by the ladies of the Zulu tribe of South Africa. For this I have to thank Preeti John, a very special friend, who in the midst of all that is involved in packing and moving countries made time to get this gorgeous set together for me, along with quite a few other beautiful sets. Thank you Preeti.

2/100 My second post for this pact was on 29th August, 2015. I am truly surprised that I have managed this second post so soon.
