I was visiting my parents a few years ago and I saw my SIL in a mustard kanjeevaram and I told her it looked beautiful. After some time my mother asked me \u201cDo you have a mustard saree? I don’t think I have seen you in one.\u201d And I wistfully told her that I didn’t.<\/p>\n
I had forgotten about this conversation.<\/p>\n
On her next visit to Chennai, she had bought some sarees and she was showing them to me. When she came to this one, I told her that I remember grand mother (her mother) wearing a 9-yard version of this pattern and combination. I was rendered speechless when my mother said she had got it for me! Mothers can read minds…seriously!<\/p>\n
