This saree is one of my favourites. It’s the first saree that my dad bought for Mummy and me. When Nalli’s opened a store in Malleshwaram, I would always find myself going past the store pining for the sarees in the window display. And when we finally made it to the store, I was too late for those Kanjeevarams. But tucked away in the back was this gorgeous Pochampalli silk creation that Mummy and I couldn’t keep our eyes off. And after selecting a few more, we left with this saree, which I’m sure will end up being a Narasimha family heirloom some day.<\/p>\n
I wore this on Saturday to a Pakistani wedding reception. It took me weeks to decide between a gorgeous anarkali that would fit right in and this saree that would make me stand out (for the right reasons). Eventually, I went with my instincts and my roots and brought out this beauty from my closet. I have now worn 2 sarees in London in the span of 5 months! Not quite the 100 sarees in the year that the members of the pact are aiming for, but any saree I get to wear here is a bonus for me.<\/p>\n
I paired it with my killer Zara heels, and felt incredibly elegant even though those heels killed my feet. Last night’s memories are now among my favourite ones from London.<\/p>\n
