We were shown a number of sarees, and I rejected some that he pointed to and he
\nshook his head at some of my choices. This went on for some time and we were beginning
\nto wonder, when the shopkeeper patiently bent down and pulled out this one. He
\ndidn’t just take it out, he unfolded it and showed the saree with the pallu displayed with a flourish …and
\nthis may sound dramatic, filmy even, but both of us looked at the saree, turned to look at each other and
\nit was an instant, unanimous yes, followed by the inevitable smiles.<\/p>\n
It is a beautiful soft, sambalpuri silk with an unusual pallu of large flower motifs.<\/p>\n
We got engaged on a 13th and married on another 13th, hence this entry for saree #13 in this pact.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
