I always saw others in sarees with sequins and thought it would be nice to get one with sequins but usually thought they would make me look like a Christmas Tree…and that’s not me. Then one day a friend who works with RBI invited me to her exhibition of sarees. I made two discoveries, one that she enjoyed designing sarees and with a partner set up a saree designing business! they sold only through exhibitions. 2) I had finally found a sequinned saree that was for me. What I really thought interesting was her combining sequins with a very sober fabric, the Bhagalpur tussar! Now, I simply love the Tussar and on this Blue one there was a lovely Black sequinned border…so I didn’t resist and bought it. That’s the one in the picture.
