I always wanted to have a saree with Kantha work. However, the sarees I came across looked very heavy with very closely done embroidery, so I gave up the idea of ever buying that saree. While looking at various shops in an exibition, I saw this type of light Kantha work saree. There were pretty birds, peacocks , flowers etc.
