His wish was to buy a bright yellow saree for the occasion. My father is a bit stingy, he bargained and bought this saree somewhere in Mylapore (Madras), and was pretty pleased that he could buy it at a good bargain price. He did not notice, that the saree had shop soiled mark, that was why they were willing to give it at a little lower price.<br \/>\nHowever, I love this saree very much, and I truly admire his good intentions , he maybe stingy, but he is good man.<br \/>\nThe shop soiled marks went away after a wash. One wash with Surf, had that &#8220;Doonthe Raha Jahouge&#8221; effect.<br \/>\nHis idea was to buy some thing in yellow as it is supposed to be a very auspicious color.<br \/>\nI also appreciate his choice of the color and the saree is very good for the price he paid. It is very light, at the same time, it doesn&#8217;t get the crumpled look, like some of the light weight silk sarees.<br \/>\nIt has such a golden glow with self jari border and it also drapes beautifully.<br \/>\nI think of him all the time, these days, all the more.
