\nMy first online purchase and the first sambhalpuri in my new collection of sarees! After reading many posts on sambhalpuri ikats on the pact’s website, I was intrigued to get one for myself. However, this wasn’t possible sitting in KL so I decided to turn to 21st century’s best friend – the Internet! To my luck, the Odisha Handloom Corporation’s website didn’t disappoint at all! Infact, there are a couple more that I’m eyeing now \ud83d\ude42
\nShipped this one to my mom who got the blouse stitched and sent this through a friend and colleague visiting lucknow from KL for work! Loved how things aligned for this saree to join me in KL!
\nIt’s a gorgeous blue and maroon, soft sambhalpuri ikat, that was a dream to drape. Paired it with a really old silver necklace, which was a birthday present from my mom and brother almost two decades back. The garnet cut glass bangle is from Jaipur that my sister in law brought for me!
