\nDown memory lane, as I slowly strolled
\nSavouring and reliving happy memories manifold…
\nI remembered of a time, I was smitten, I was sold!
\nA saree of White, yellow, green and checks of gold
\nIn my little sister’s trousseau, had me bowled
\nA desire to posses the beauty, an obsession uncontrolled
\nI coveted it, greed arresting me with its chokehold!!!<\/p>\n
I went to ask her for it, the want making me bold
\nStopping near her room, just before my request rolled
\nI broke into a sweat, you could say my feet turned cold!
\nI ran back to my room, fearing my mommy’s scold!!<\/p>\n
Breaking the post wedding dole drums scaffold
\nTo satisfy my saree hankering, which had increased multifold
\nI went to many a store, to see if they have any unsold
\nSarees in those lovely colors, a mix that never grows old!!<\/p>\n
I was spent, tired and almost reaching my patience threshold
\nWhen like in a movie, as distant church bells tolled
\nI looked at a store’s display, lo and behold!
